Billy Calder was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and attended Saint Ann's School. At Saint Ann's, he developed a love for Shakespeare, acting, and the classics. He continued to pursue these interests at Dartmouth College, where he majored in theater and founded an undergraduate Shakespeare company. After Dartmouth, Billy went on to get his MFA in acting from Harvard University and the American Repertory Theater Institute for Advanced Theater Training.
Billy tutors the SAT, ACT, and all Literature and Language AP and SAT II tests. He also specializes in writing help and academic support. He has experience working online and in person and is equally comfortable in either medium. He is an inspiring, excited, and engaged tutor who loves working with self-motivated students looking to take their performance to the next level and students who need an extra bit of inspiration and guidance to get themselves motivated. Billy believes that developing a strong tutor-student relationship based on trust and compatibility is the cornerstone to a fruitful and productive tutoring experience. Billy's hobbies include watching and playing soccer and hockey (LGR!) and binge-watching Seinfeld.
