    Julie

Julie believes the best writing is full of details that are as unique as the writers themselves. She loves working with students to capture their thoughts and experiences in original, creative essays full of humor, truth, and storytelling. Her goal is not only a great college essay; she also aims to demystify the writing process and to teach students writing strategies they can use in college and beyond.

When she’s not working with students from College Prep 360, she is a writer and editor who has collaborated with New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestselling authors of both fiction and nonfiction. Her clients have described her as “a magical fairy godmother,” a “true genius at her craft,” and “dedicated to honoring every writer’s unique voice.” She received her A.B. in History and Literature from Harvard University cum laude and an MFA in Fiction from Sarah Lawrence College.

Julie approaches her work with students as a partnership, and she enjoys learning from them as much as they learn from her. The daughter of a baker and a middle school math teacher, Julie spent most of her childhood in Nashville, Tennessee reading science fiction and fantasy novels on the screened-in porch before moving to Boston, Seville, Madrid, and now Westchester County, New York. She speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese and is a lifelong runner and swimmer.
