Jill began her career in education as a college consultant almost 20 years ago, advising scores of domestic and international high school students seeking to gain admission to top colleges in the U.S., U.K., and Canada. As Student Services Manager at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Assistant Director, Admissions and Recruitment Lead at Duke University, she gained deep insight into the undergraduate and graduate admissions process by managing full-cycle admissions at both institutions and reading thousands of applications. Additionally, Jill has conducted presentations and workshops on the college application process for hundreds of families in the U.S. and China.
Jill’s expertise allows her to specialize in identifying clear goals and executing on high-level strategy, empowering families to develop strong applications to best-fit schools with regards to academics, extracurriculars, and campus culture. Jill truly enjoys guiding her students and watching them flourish through high school as they discover their passions. Her approach to the application process is to equip her students with the tools to develop their interests while creating a strong profile, highlighting their strengths and experiences. She understands the stress surrounding the application process, having gone through it four times with her own children on the undergraduate and graduate levels, which lends to her ability to remain calm and thoughtful while working with families. Jill’s inside knowledge of college admissions increases her students and families’ ability to make informed decisions. Jill’s commitment to her students is not a “job”--it is deeply rooted in how she identifies herself.
When she is not counseling students, Jill can be found on the beach spending time with her three children, husband, and dog, Mia. She also enjoys running in local races, reading, and cheering on the New York Yankees and Tarheel basketball!
