    Kim

At College Prep 360, Kim helps students do more than get into college. She helps them understand who they are and how to express what they have to offer with clarity and authenticity.

Kim’s work in undergraduate admissions at Stanford University, where she reviewed thousands of applications, gave her firsthand insight into what makes a student’s story resonate. She also evaluated graduate applications for a prestigious, fully funded fellowship, deepening her understanding of academic potential, narrative clarity, and long-term fit. But while she knows what admissions officers look for, Kim is equally interested in what drives the students she mentors—what excites them, challenges them, and inspires them to embrace growth opportunities.

Kim’s approach to counseling at College Prep 360 blends sharp strategic planning with deep personal engagement. She offers individualized guidance across the full application cycle, from school selection to essay development, helping students articulate not just what they’ve done, but who they’re becoming and how they plan to contribute to the world. Kim has helped students earn spots at the nation’s top colleges including Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Penn, Columbia, Caltech, Dartmouth, and other highly competitive institutions. But for her, true success isn’t measured by acceptance rates. It’s found in the moment a student realizes, “This is how I have had an impact, and I know how to tell my story.”

In addition to her admissions work, Kim has held roles in alumni relations, student programming, and development—experiences that allow her to see each student not just as an applicant, but as a future graduate, professional, and global citizen. Her wide-angle perspective helps students align their college choices with a larger vision of who and what they want to be.

Kim holds a B.A. in English & Spanish Literature from Stanford University and an M.A. in Communication Management from the University of Southern California. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys traveling, volunteering on the Board of Directors for an environmental nonprofit, dancing for a humanitarian organization, and riding her scooter along the coastline of her hometown, Santa Barbara, CA, where she currently resides.
