    Robert

    Robert has guided hundreds of students around the world through the American college admissions process. As an essay coach and polyglot who has conducted professional interviews and training in six languages, including French, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, and English, he brings a deep understanding of vocabulary, syntax, and nuance to his work.

    He earned a B.A. from Columbia University with double concentrations in Hispanic Studies and French, where he served as a resident adviser and wrote for the Columbia Daily Spectator as a sports staff writer and associate editor. He later completed an M.A. in International Affairs from King's College London, where his research included the use of non-textual sources in the historical research of Central Asian cultures.

    Previously, Robert reported on video surveillance in Latin America for IPVM, a research group focused on security and surveillance technology. His research has been cited by the U.S. Army War College, the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, the Center for a New American Security, and the Asian Journal of Comparative Law.

    Robert has lived in Brazil, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Portugal, Romania, Russia, and Tajikistan. He served as a project manager at Shoqan Walikhanov Private School in Almaty and as a student life advisor at the University of Central Asia’s campuses in Naryn and Khorog. 

    Outside of work, Robert is an aviation enthusiast who enjoys flying with Qatar Airways as well as on Lufthansa's A340-600.
