Our team gives back.

Working with College Prep 360 means not only investing in your own child but also investing in the philanthropic work that is central to our mission. This past year, College Prep 360 has raised and donated over $50,000 and scores of hours to organizations that support education, public health and anti-poverty initiatives.

Individual Pro Bono Work

Rather than asking our team to work for free, our founder believes that the company should invest in pro-bono work. With College Prep 360’s financial support, our team has worked one-on-one with dozens of low-income students. We are proud to report that our pro-bono students have been accepted to top colleges, including Harvard, Stanford and Dartmouth.

uAspire

uAspire is a nonprofit organization ensuring that all young people have the financial information and resources necessary to find an affordable path to and through college. Their singular focus is on college affordability and removing financial barriers so that every student has an equitable opportunity to graduate from college and succeed in life. Dr. Joie Jager-Hyman is one of two members on the NY Advisory Board. Over the last 12 months, College Prep 360 has raised over $30,000 for uAspire.

Syrian Youth Empowerment

Syrian Youth Empowerment is an organization founded and led by Syrian refugees who experienced firsthand the enormous challenges associated with continuing higher education both inside and outside of Syria. SYE’s mission is to empower youth in conflict zones by providing a path to education to realize their potential and define their roles in their countries, societies, and the world. In 2018, our staff teamed up with SYE and helped SYE students complete 50+ college applications. The students we worked with have been accepted to Harvard, Dartmouth, Stanford, Smith and more. Dr. Joie Jager-Hyman serves on the Board of Advisors and is in the process of working on fundraising initiatives.

Planned Parenthood of New York City

For 100 years, Planned Parenthood of New York City (PPNYC) has been a beacon of hope for the thousands of individuals and families who rely on us for essential sexual and reproductive health care, innovative educational programs, and effective advocacy. In February 2019, Dr. Joie Jager-Hyman and College Prep 360 Editorial Manager, Cara Sheffler, co-hosted a fundraiser for PPNYC that raised $13,000. Joie has also worked with PPNYC to develop local internship opportunities for selected College Prep 360 students.

Political Campaigns

Dr. Joie Jager-Hyman was the Policy Director for Max Rose, the Democratic Congressman in NY-11 who flipped NYC’s only Swing District. Not only did College Prep 360 send the Max Rose campaign 40+ interns, it is estimated that College Prep 360 students have collectively given between $200k and $300k to the campaign. Through events that Joie has hosted or co-hosted, Joie has raised $60,000 for the campaign with the help of several other College Prep 360 team members, and is currently on the Re-Election Committee Board.

In addition to her work with Max Rose, Joie has served on the Hosting Committee for events for Beto O’Rourke, Stacey Abrams, and Jacky Rosen. College Prep 360 students have assisted with each event that Joie has co-hosted. Collectively, they have raised $25,000 for these three change-makers and have contributed to events that have raised over $150,000.
