Our team gives back.

Working with College Prep 360 means not only investing in your child but also investing in the philanthropic work that is central to our mission. Over the past few years, we have raised and donated over $70,000 and scores of hours to organizations that support educational equity, public health, and anti-poverty initiatives.

Individual Pro Bono Work

Rather than asking our team to work for free, our founder believes that the company should invest in pro bono work. With College Prep 360’s financial support, our team has worked one-on-one with dozens of low-income students. We are proud to report that our pro bono students have been accepted to top colleges, including Harvard, Stanford and Dartmouth.

uAspire

uAspire is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to ensure that all young people have the financial information and resources necessary to find an affordable path to and through college. Their singular focus is on college affordability and removing financial barriers so that every student has an equitable opportunity to attain a postsecondary degree without burdensome debt. Dr. Joie Jager-Hyman is honored to have been part of the New York City Board for the past few years and also serves on the uAspire National Board.

Syrian Youth Empowerment

The Syrian Youth Empowerment Initiative (SYE) envisions a world in which all students from conflict zones have the opportunity to pursue their dreams of higher education, regardless of barriers posed by conflict. SYE empowers youth in conflict zones by providing a path to higher education to realize their potential and define their roles in their countries, societies, and the world. For the past few years, College Prep 360 has partnered with SYE to provide their students with one-on-one college counseling. We are proud to share that the students we have worked with have been admitted to top colleges, including Harvard, Stanford, Dartmouth, MIT, and more.

Planned Parenthood of New York City

For 100 years, Planned Parenthood of New York City (PPNYC) has been a beacon of hope for the thousands of individuals and families who rely on us for essential sexual and reproductive health care, innovative educational programs, and effective advocacy. In February 2019, Dr. Joie Jager-Hyman and former College Prep 360 Editorial Manager, Cara Sheffler, co-hosted a fundraiser for PPNYC that raised $13,000. Joie has also worked with PPNYC to develop local internship opportunities for selected College Prep 360 students.

Political Campaigns

Dr. Joie Jager-Hyman was the Policy Director for Max Rose, the Democratic Congressman in NY-11 who flipped NYC’s only Swing District. Not only did College Prep 360 send the Max Rose campaign 40+ interns, it is estimated that College Prep 360 students have collectively given between $200k and $300k to the campaign. Through events that Joie has hosted or co-hosted, Joie has raised $60,000 for the campaign with the help of several other College Prep 360 team members, and is currently on the Re-Election Committee Board.

In addition to her work with Max Rose, Joie has served on the Hosting Committee for events for Beto O’Rourke, Stacey Abrams, and Jacky Rosen. College Prep 360 students have assisted with each event that Joie has co-hosted. Collectively, they have raised $25,000 for these three change-makers and have contributed to events that have raised over $150,000.
