Jackson
Jackson has helped over a hundred students craft essays that leave a lasting impression on admissions committees. With more than six years of experience as an admissions consultant and editor, he guides applicants in identifying and articulating what makes them truly distinctive. He creates a safe, productive working environment, where students can tap into their creativity, build confidence, and tell meaningful stories.
Jackson earned his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Chicago. His favorite professor was the late Jonathan Lear, a celebrated philosopher and essayist who instilled in him a deep respect for intellectual curiosity and humanistic inquiry. While in college, he took creative writing workshops, co-founded an undergraduate literary magazine, and worked as a DJ at the campus radio station. Since graduation, he’s continued pursuing his interests in teaching, writing, and editing. He has taught ESL to Korean business professionals, written for a film zine, worked as a corporate copywriter, and created content for brands such as Atlas Obscura. He lives in New York, and on weekends can often be found attending screenings of classic movies at Film Forum, browsing independent bookstores, or hosting a cookout in Prospect Park.
